Primavera - Casa Paloma Emergency Shelter (ES)

Description:

Casa Paloma offers residential services that include short-term shelter for women in crisis and medium-term transitional housing for women who are working toward self-sufficiency. For safety and confidentiality, Casa Paloma's location remains undisclosed.

Hours:

8:00am - 12:00p

Intake Process:

Pre-screenings are conducted by phone on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1:00pm-2:00pm. To complete a phone pre-screen, participants should call 520-882-0820 during these hours. Intakes are scheduled Monday through Friday. Participants will receive an intake date and time during the pre-screening process based on program availability. Same day or later accommodations may be offered depending on staff coverage.

If a participant does not have access to a phone, they may come in person to the Casa Paloma Drop-In Center for screening. In-person screenings are available Monday-Friday between 8:00am and 12:00pm. Entry into the program depends on eligibility and compliance with shelter requirements.

Eligibility:

Participants must not be Level 3 registered sex offenders and must be able to independently perform all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). This includes transferring from sitting to standing, bathing, showering, and feeding themselves. Participants must also have no open wounds, must not require medical attention at the time of intake, and cannot be in active psychosis.

A pre-screen form must be completed and submitted before acceptance into the program. To participate in the 90-day program, individuals are required to provide a valid photo ID, birth certificate, and/or Social Security card. However, residents will still be allowed entry without an ID at the time of intake. If they do not currently have an ID, they will have seven days to obtain one.
