Description:
This program is offered for those women whom law enforcement will bring to the shelter instead of incarceration for petty offenses, domestic violence, and for safety and well being reasons. The program offers a one night stay; however, the participant can request admission to other programs if he desires and meets eligibility criteria after the one night stay.
In addition to a safe and clean environment, the facility features laundry, showers, television, and dining. Guests receive two meals per day and access to vital programs and services.

Intake Process:
Once eligibility is confirmed, a more detailed assessment occur, often involving:
Documentation: The participant will be asked for identification(not necessary proof of income (if any), and medical records. We can also assist help you obtain missing paperwork. Needs Assessment: Questions will cover housing history, medical conditions, safety concerns (e.g., domestic violence), and immediate barriers to stability etc.
HMIS and Salvation Army Consent: The Hospitality House enters client data into a Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) to track services provided across different agencies. The client will be asked to complete a Housing Questionnaire and a referral will be sent for housing priortization. You may choose to remain anonymous in these systems if preferred.
Admission: The participant must be brought to the shelter by a law enforcement agency and can be at any time of the day or night.
Rule Agreement: You must sign an agreement to follow shelter rules.
Property Search: Staff will conduct a search of personal belongings to ensure safety and prohibited item compliance (e.g., weapons or drugs).
The participant will also be breathalyzed upon entry in facility.
Clothing and personal items will be placed in a hot box to kill any unwanted critters.

English/Spanish. We will provide a translator if needed for other languages.
Eligibility:
Women only program.
Participant is not required to have ID as long as law enforcement runs a sexual offender background check.
Client is eligible for only one night stay.
Client can be eligible for another program after the one night of stay.
Participant must not have stayed in the shelter 31 days prior to new intake.
Participant must not be a convicted or registered sex offender.
Participant must be ambulatory.
Participant must not have a current "BAN" from services.
Participant must be 18 years of age.
Participant must meet HUD's definition of homeless, including lacking a fixed, regular, adequate nighttime residence or living in a shelter.
Program requires household income to be at or below 80% of Area Median Income.
